Petroleum treated with Viscon is Green Petroleum and behaves differently when spilled in water, - holding together, thus making boom containment more effective, and complete and efficient, selective recovery of spilled oil possible, - to restore and preserve a pristine environment. Additionally, wind and wave action actually work to help contain the spilled oil by helping to thoroughly mixing the high-molecular-weight VISCON throughout the spill slick. Ground penetration is also minimized by the higher viscosity of the treated oil, reducing costs of beach, ground, marsh, and swamp remediation efforts as well.
